At first glance the Toshiba Chromebook 13 CB30-007 looks identical to the one that the company released earlier this year but there is a difference. It was released with Intel Celeron 2955 (Haswell) but now it comes with much improved Intel Celeron N2830 (Bay Trail) CPU.
Its previous CPU was launched at the end of 2013 and it is a dual core processor. The 2955 runs at 1.4 GHz frequency, 2MB cache and consumes 15W. The newer one is still dual core but has clock rate of 2.16GHz, 1MB cache and consumes half the amount of power – 7.5 watts.
Toshiba Chromebook 13 CB30-007 specifications include 13.3-inch matte display (1366 x 768 pixels), 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and Intel Celeron N2830 bay trail processor. There is also a USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, an SD card reader, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and a battery of 44 Wh that promises up to 10.5 hours of battery life.
At the moment we do not know the price of Toshiba Chromebook 13 CB30-007 but we feel that it will be same as its haswell cousin. This is a win for the average user who will now be getting a thinner and lighter laptop.
