A long time has passed since Antec presented a new chassis. It is necessary to resume until the middle of 2018 to write about it, until today, where the brand has presented a new tower with a different design from what has been seen so far, at least in its front. We are talking about the Antec Dark Avenger 601, its new chassis with tempered glass and aRGB.
This is what the brand itself calls it, where it states that we will find a futuristic gaming experience in our team, and according to what we have seen, they may not be right.
The most striking without doubt is its front panel, which somehow monopolize the looks of own and strangers. Like it or not, the design is original, with a system in Xs where its central part is released forming on the horizontal axis another X that separates both parts of aluminum.
The front system is completed with the inclusion of a fully controllable aRGB LED system with a button (or controllable with our motherboard) and is that this futuristic front can be removed to make way for a dust filter that will prevent entry to that element .
Behind this panel is a 12 cm fan also aRGB that the brand includes as standard and that brings a touch of lighting that is always welcome, which like the chassis lighting system will be compatible with the main lighting technologies of the best known brands such as Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, ASRock etc.
If we focus on its capabilities, we will find a chassis capable of housing a micro-ATX, ATX or E-ATX motherboard with capacity for 7 expansion slots, something that will undoubtedly be appreciated by users of SLIs or Crossfire, where we can also use cards graphics of a size more than considerable, since it supports GPUs of up to 40 cm (not bad for a mid-tower).
Although its capacity for GPUs is really surprising, the capacity to house extreme air heaters is limited because the maximum supported height of these is only 160 mm in total, which in some cases can be a problem.
On the other hand, its options for liquid cooling are more than complete, since in its front we can install up to a radiator of 360 mm, while in the upper part it offers wider options by supporting fans of 12 and 14 cm, to be concrete : 1 x 120/140/240/280/360 mm.
On the back we can also install a 120 mm fan, which speaks highly of its high-end cooling options.
The dust filters included (apart from the one mentioned on the front) will be included in the lower part for the power supply, and in the upper part to prevent dust from entering through its roof.
Your storage options are equally complete, since we can install up to 4 2.5-inch disks and two more of the same size or 2 x 3.5 inches.
Its price will be 94 euros to change, while Antec sets its market output at the end of this month of January, specifically on day 31, being available in major stores in our country.
